Utah Swallows

One spring day, we noticed that swallows had decided to build on our trailer house.  I read that Mr & Mrs Swallow mate for life, like so many of the animals do. So far Mr & Mrs Swallow have raised 5 bunches of babies here, usually 4 to 6 baby Swallows each time. The nests are made with mud, horse hair, string, feathers from momma swallow's body.  With their last batch of babies, they stayed here in Huntington with us, teaching the new flyers how to catch bugs and practicing the flying and landing skills!  All of her swallow children were here. It was quite a sight to see. Every night they would come back to nest and others would sleep in the apple trees nearby. Then one morning before it got cold they took off and never looked back.
